The official genealogy website of the Scottish government is to be run by a new IT partner from late next year. The National Records of Scotland has confirmed it has awarded a four-year contract for maintaining the scotlandspeo service to international company CACI in a deal worth £3- 4 million. The website is currently operated by Findmypast ( previously DC Thomson Family History), but this contract is set to expire in September 2016 and will now not be renewed.
