WILKINSON/Belfast and Glasgow
James Wilkinson married Elizabeth Foster on 16 September 1896 in Belfast. His father was John Wilkinson, a deceased tailor. He’s listed in the 1901 Belfast trade directory as a ‘Boot Top Cutter, Marchioness Street’. He died, aged 73, on 12 November 1941 at 104 Servia Street, Belfast. The family may have originated in Bradford but we have no proof. I’ve been unable to locate James and Elizabeth in the 1901 or 1911 censuses. Their son Alexander was born in Glasgow in 1903.
James’s three siblings Alice, Julia and John were at 104 Servia Street in 1911. The girls were born between 1852 and 1859 and lived in Marchioness Street in 1901. John was born in Scotland in 1856. I haven’t located birth records but I do
