James Wilkinson mar­ried El­iz­a­beth Foster on 16 Septem­ber 1896 in Belfast. His father was John Wilkinson, a de­ceased tai­lor. He’s listed in the 1901 Belfast trade direc­tory as a ‘Boot Top Cut­ter, Mar­chioness Street’. He died, aged 73, on 12 Novem­ber 1941 at 104 Servia Street, Belfast. The fam­ily may have orig­i­nated in Brad­ford but we have no proof. I’ve been un­able to lo­cate James and El­iz­a­beth in the 1901 or 1911 cen­suses. Their son Alexan­der was born in Glas­gow in 1903.

James’s three sib­lings Alice, Ju­lia and John were at 104 Servia Street in 1911. The girls were born be­tween 1852 and 1859 and lived in Mar­chioness Street in 1901. John was born in Scot­land in 1856. I haven’t lo­cated birth records but I do
