Manchester cemetery unearthed
A large cemetery dating back to the 18th century has been unearthed in Manchester. Although historians initially estimated that around 130 skeletons would be found, workers on the city’s Metrolink expansion project unexpectedly discovered the remains of at least 270 people while digging at Cross Street.
