Our ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ an­ces­tor Ge­orge Fred­er­ick Al­fred Cot­trill was born in Hack­ney, Lon­don, in 1920.

He went from be­ing awarded a Mil­i­tary Medal in 1943 to be­ing tried in Aus­tralia for im­per­son­at­ing a priest in 1951. For a short time in Syd­ney, Aus­tralia, he was known as Rev Gra­ham Park­house.

He had joined the RAF in 1942, Can you help Tracy Ve­ness with in­for­ma­tion about Ge­orge Fred­er­ick Al­fred Cot­trill? air­craft­man 654132, trans­fer­ring to the New Zealand Air Force and mar­ry­ing Claire with whom he had two chil­dren. The fam­ily last saw him in 1963 look­ing for money to fund pas­sage on a ship.
