How to add your ancestors’ information

1 Search for forebears

Type the name of your ancestor (for example ‘Percy Pink’) into the search box and click the magnifier icon. A list of matching names will be shown. Use the options on the left to filter your search. If you find a match (the regimental number should be listed), click on that person.

2 Add to timeline

The main screen appears showing you a timeline plus sections for facts, evidence, stories, images and communities. Start by attaching a photo of your ancestor that will appear next to his entry in the search results by clicking the headshot in the top-left-hand corner.
