Quick tips for finding wills

Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine - - ESSENTIAL RECORDS -

If you don’t know the year probate was granted, the Government’s Find a Will site can be time-consuming to use. Ancestry’s National Probate Calendar is easier to search up to 1996 and, although there is currently a gap between 1967-1972, this will be added to the collection in August this year, adding an extra 1.4 million names ( bit.ly/anc-probate).

You can also search for probate records granted between 1931 and 1939 using just a post code on haine.org. uk/toms_wills/toms_wills.php.
