Multi-sportswoman Lottie Dod is most fa­mous for win­ning five Wim­ble­don Ladies’ Sin­gles Cham­pi­onships – the first at only 15 years old – but she was also a world-class ath­lete in golf, hockey, archery and fig­ure skat­ing. She re­ceived a Ser­vice Medal from the Red Cross for serv­ing more than 1,000 hours dur­ing the war at Chelsea VAD Hospi­tal and a mil­i­tary hospi­tal in Berk­shire.
