STOWE Family Law LLP has been proudly serving the people of Cheshire since 2008 with the opening of the Hale office. Since then, the firm has put down deep roots in the area and is equally proud to extend its service when the Wilmslow office opened in 2013. Our Cheshire team is headed up by the firm’s founder and senior partner, Marilyn Stowe, one of Britain’s best known divorce lawyers, who is regularly sought out by clients across the UK and internationally for family law guidance, and by national broadcast and print media for her legal expertise.
Her particular speciality is conducting investigations in cases where substantial assets are in dispute, and she is highly skilled at uncovering attempts to disguise wealth and hide assets, ensuring everything is taken into consideration in reaching a settlement. Managing partner Nastassia Burton is well known in the local area, having been an integral part of the Cheshire team since the Hale office first opened.
Clients regularly instruct Nastassia for her firm and practical, yet sensible and compassionate approach. She deals with all work relating to the breakdown of relationships and the relationship finances, and cases involving children. Anthony Jones deals exclusively with family law matters, in particular divorce, matrimonial finance (including high net worth assets), children, domestic violence, cohabitation and both pre and postnuptial agreements.
He is a Resolutionaccredited specialist in advanced financial provision and cohabitation. Kate Rayner advises on all aspects of family law, in particular financial disputes covering a wide spectrum of assets from the modest to the complex.
She specialises in medium to high net worth financial cases involving private family businesses and trust structures. She is a Resolution-accredited specialist in advanced financial provision and private children law.
Kate is also a trained collaborative lawyer and mediator, skills which help her to achieve a practical solution for many of her clients, enabling them avoid the acrimony and high legal costs associated with court litigation. Helen Miller is a Resolution-accredited family law specialist and longstanding Cheshire solicitor with over 12 years experience across a wide range of family law disciplines.
Her main focus is on finding out of court solution for both private disputes involving children and complex financial cases on divorce and dissolution.
She also advises regularly on cohabitation disputes, separation agreements and pre/post nuptial agreements. Jennifer Wood practices exclusively in family law cases and has experience in relationship planning and separation advice, such as nuptial agreements and cohabiting relationships.
She has also advised regarding ownership disputes including applications under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act.
Jennifer has also successfully represented clients in respect of private children proceedings, obtaining emergency orders for the return of children and achieving child arrangement orders regarding who children should live with and spend time with. Kelly Parks specialises in all areas of family law including divorce, relationship breakdown and the resolution of financial issues.
She has significant experience of high net worth cases and also deals with children issues including contact and residence disputes.
Kelly has advised clients in both national and international jurisdictions. Jane Gray heads up Stowe Family Law’s Wills, Tax, Trust and Probate team.
She is a fully qualified member of the Society of Trusts and Estate practitioners (STEP) as well as an Associate Member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE).
Jane deals with bespoke wills involving inheritance tax planning and trusts. She also advises on Lasting Powers of Attorney and general mental capacity issues, as well all aspects of estate administration and probate.
She has wide experience dealing with high value cases and handles complex litigious work involving the resolution of disputed wills and trusts, as well as claims in relation to the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
