STOWE Fam­ily Law LLP has been proudly serv­ing the peo­ple of Cheshire since 2008 with the open­ing of the Hale of­fice. Since then, the firm has put down deep roots in the area and is equally proud to ex­tend its ser­vice when the Wilm­slow of­fice opened in 2013. Our Cheshire team is headed up by the firm’s founder and se­nior part­ner, Mar­i­lyn Stowe, one of Bri­tain’s best known di­vorce lawyers, who is reg­u­larly sought out by clients across the UK and in­ter­na­tion­ally for fam­ily law guid­ance, and by na­tional broad­cast and print me­dia for her legal ex­per­tise.

Her par­tic­u­lar spe­cial­ity is con­duct­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions in cases where sub­stan­tial as­sets are in dis­pute, and she is highly skilled at un­cov­er­ing at­tempts to dis­guise wealth and hide as­sets, en­sur­ing ev­ery­thing is taken into con­sid­er­a­tion in reach­ing a set­tle­ment. Man­ag­ing part­ner Nas­tas­sia Bur­ton is well known in the lo­cal area, hav­ing been an in­te­gral part of the Cheshire team since the Hale of­fice first opened.

Clients reg­u­larly in­struct Nas­tas­sia for her firm and prac­ti­cal, yet sen­si­ble and com­pas­sion­ate ap­proach. She deals with all work re­lat­ing to the break­down of re­la­tion­ships and the re­la­tion­ship fi­nances, and cases in­volv­ing chil­dren. An­thony Jones deals ex­clu­sively with fam­ily law mat­ters, in par­tic­u­lar di­vorce, mat­ri­mo­nial fi­nance (in­clud­ing high net worth as­sets), chil­dren, do­mes­tic vi­o­lence, co­hab­i­ta­tion and both pre and post­nup­tial agree­ments.

He is a Res­o­lu­tion­ac­cred­ited spe­cial­ist in ad­vanced fi­nan­cial pro­vi­sion and co­hab­i­ta­tion. Kate Rayner ad­vises on all as­pects of fam­ily law, in par­tic­u­lar fi­nan­cial dis­putes cov­er­ing a wide spec­trum of as­sets from the mod­est to the com­plex.

She spe­cialises in medium to high net worth fi­nan­cial cases in­volv­ing pri­vate fam­ily busi­nesses and trust struc­tures. She is a Res­o­lu­tion-ac­cred­ited spe­cial­ist in ad­vanced fi­nan­cial pro­vi­sion and pri­vate chil­dren law.

Kate is also a trained col­lab­o­ra­tive lawyer and me­di­a­tor, skills which help her to achieve a prac­ti­cal so­lu­tion for many of her clients, en­abling them avoid the ac­ri­mony and high legal costs as­so­ci­ated with court lit­i­ga­tion. He­len Miller is a Res­o­lu­tion-ac­cred­ited fam­ily law spe­cial­ist and long­stand­ing Cheshire solic­i­tor with over 12 years ex­pe­ri­ence across a wide range of fam­ily law dis­ci­plines.

Her main fo­cus is on find­ing out of court so­lu­tion for both pri­vate dis­putes in­volv­ing chil­dren and com­plex fi­nan­cial cases on di­vorce and dis­so­lu­tion.

She also ad­vises reg­u­larly on co­hab­i­ta­tion dis­putes, sep­a­ra­tion agree­ments and pre/post nup­tial agree­ments. Jen­nifer Wood prac­tices ex­clu­sively in fam­ily law cases and has ex­pe­ri­ence in re­la­tion­ship plan­ning and sep­a­ra­tion ad­vice, such as nup­tial agree­ments and co­hab­it­ing re­la­tion­ships.

She has also ad­vised re­gard­ing own­er­ship dis­putes in­clud­ing ap­pli­ca­tions un­der the Trusts of Land and Ap­point­ment of Trustees Act.

Jen­nifer has also suc­cess­fully rep­re­sented clients in re­spect of pri­vate chil­dren pro­ceed­ings, ob­tain­ing emer­gency or­ders for the re­turn of chil­dren and achiev­ing child ar­range­ment or­ders re­gard­ing who chil­dren should live with and spend time with. Kelly Parks spe­cialises in all ar­eas of fam­ily law in­clud­ing di­vorce, re­la­tion­ship break­down and the res­o­lu­tion of fi­nan­cial is­sues.

She has sig­nif­i­cant ex­pe­ri­ence of high net worth cases and also deals with chil­dren is­sues in­clud­ing con­tact and res­i­dence dis­putes.

Kelly has ad­vised clients in both na­tional and in­ter­na­tional ju­ris­dic­tions. Jane Gray heads up Stowe Fam­ily Law’s Wills, Tax, Trust and Pro­bate team.

She is a fully qual­i­fied mem­ber of the So­ci­ety of Trusts and Es­tate prac­ti­tion­ers (STEP) as well as an As­so­ciate Mem­ber of So­lic­i­tors for the El­derly (SFE).

Jane deals with be­spoke wills in­volv­ing in­her­i­tance tax plan­ning and trusts. She also ad­vises on Last­ing Pow­ers of At­tor­ney and gen­eral men­tal ca­pac­ity is­sues, as well all as­pects of es­tate ad­min­is­tra­tion and pro­bate.

She has wide ex­pe­ri­ence deal­ing with high value cases and han­dles com­plex liti­gious work in­volv­ing the res­o­lu­tion of dis­puted wills and trusts, as well as claims in re­la­tion to the In­her­i­tance (Pro­vi­sion for Fam­ily and Dependants) Act 1975.
