Thief hunted after house break-in

Information is being sought by police following a break-in at a house in Newarthill.

The house in Glen Street was targeted at around 1.55am on Saturday morning.

The 35-year-old householder was awoken by a loud noise and then observed that a quantity of cash and a number of personal items were stolen.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who has information on a male aged between 30 and 50 and wearing dark clothing who was seen by the householder at the time the offence was committed.
