Woman accused of umbrella attack
A woman has denied attacking a man with an umbrella during an alleged assault in a Motherwell flat.
Natalie Leach appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week and denied assaulting Garry Kinney at the flat in Draffen Tower on February 18 by repeatedly punching him on the head before repeatedly striking him with an umbrella.
Leach, of Merry Street, Motherwell, will return to court for another hearing in the case on September 7 before standing trial on October 4.
She was granted bail but must return to court on those dates.
The 37-year-old was also accused of failing to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on May 23 of this year.
She denied the allegation and another hearing in this case was confirmed for September 7.
