Gold group Activities in the CentrePoint Centre, 70 Smith Avenue, Wishaw begin with ESOL classes on Mondays, 9.30am to 11.30am, community cafe 10am to 2pm and bouncy castle club 4pm to 4.45pm. Overtown Parish Church The service in the church on Sunday is at 11am. There will be a creche for younger children. The OK Club and B Club 7 will meet in the church hall. All visitors to the church welcome. The service of induction for Overtown’s new minister, the Rev Lorna MacDougall, will be held in the church tomorrow Thursday, June 29, starting at 7pm. Tea and coffee are on offer after the service, and donations of home baking would be gratefully received. The church will be open on the day from 1pm until 4pm for donations of baking. All are welcome. Lunch club continues in the church hall each Monday from 12 noon until 2.30pm. Sandwiches, desserts, tea, coffee and biscuits are all available for £3 per person. Everyone welcome. Line dancing class continues today with the beginners’ and refreshers’ class from 12.30pm to 1.15pm, followed by the regular class from 1.15pm to 2.45pm. Ceildh and sequence dance c lasses will be held in the small hall at Overtown church during the summer months. Musical There is still time to book a seat for the matinee performance of the musical Mamma Mia in Glasgow’s Theatre Royal on Thursday, December 28. Tickets are £20, and payment for this is due immediately. The cost of the bus can be paid later.
