Early morning crash
Two vehicles were involved in a early morning crash in a Coltness street on Tuesday morning.
At around 7.40am on August 28, a Vauxhall Corsa collided with a Seat Ibiza in North Dryburgh Road.
The emergency services were called but a Police Scotland spokesman told the Wishaw Press that there were no reports of serious injuries and no- one was taken to hospital.
Earlier this month, one Coltness Community Councillor described the street as a “rat run”.
Speaking at a recent community council meeting, Robert McClintock added: “Vans stop regularly at the bus stop and before long there’s a build-up of traffic.
“Something needs to be done about it.
“Will it take someone lying mangled in their car before something is done about it?”
Murdostoun councillor Cameron McManus also spoke out on traffic problems on North Dryburgh Road.
He said: “It’s a hellish turn and with the number of parked cars it has essentially became a one late road.
“There are also a number of bus stops there as well.
“I’m quite surprised there hasn’t been an accident.”
