A teenager has avoided a jail term despite being caught carrying a knife in Motherwell town centre.
Eighteen-year-old Aaron Pritchard pleaded guilty to having the blade in Merry Street on August 23.
Pritchard also admitted behaving in a threatening manner at Wishaw General Hospital on the same date by shouting, swearing and making threats. The teenager also pleaded guilty to assaulting a police custody and security officer by slamming his body against his.
At Hamilton Sheriff Court last week, Pritchard was put on a community payback order with a supervision requirement for the next 18 months.
He was also put on a restriction of liberty order. A CPO review hearing was fixed for December 5.
