Cam­bus­nethan Club En­ter­tain­ment at the club this week be­gins with so­cial danc­ing in the con­cert hall plus cash bingo on Thurs­day. Fri­day sees a cabaret and danc­ing with a top vo­cal­ist plus bingo. Satur­day sees a cabaret and danc­ing in the con­cert hall, fea­tur­ing fan­tas­tic vo­cal­ists Rob­bie Dale and Megan Love. Bingo, snow­ball of £150 and trea­sure chest of £400. Mon­day sees danc­ing with Don­nie Find­lay plus bingo and Slim­ming World class on Tues­days, at 7pm. The club is now tak­ing book­ings for Christ­mas party nights, priced £20 per per­son, with danc­ing to Per­fect Scoundrels. Book­ings are also be­ing taken for Christ­mas Day din­ners - phone Robin at the club for more in­for­ma­tion. A list for the New Year’s Day dance with Jesse Gar­ron is now up in the club for sig­na­tures and any­one wish­ing to at­tend are re­quested to sign up. Struthers Pen­te­costal Church are be­gin­ning a new project in the Old Gospel Hall, New­mains. This will start with an open­ing ser­vice tonight (Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 15) at 7.30pm with an op­por­tu­nity for peo­ple to find out about their new plans. Tea and cof­fee will be pro­vided, and all will be made wel­come. Weekly meet­ings are also held ev­ery Wed­nes­day evening at 7.30pm. A sup­per evening will be held on Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 22, at 7pm. Christ­mas fair St Brigid’s Par­ish Church Christ­mas fair be­gins at 11am to 2pm on Satur­day, Novem­ber 18. At­trac­tions will in­clude Santa’s grotto, nearly new toy shop, tea room, face paint­ing and more. The event is be­ing held in St Brigid’s Par­ish Cen­tre. Mu­sic will be pro­vided by trib­ute act Bea­tles Re­vis­ited, while those at­tend­ing can en­joy a three-course fes­tive meal with a glass of wine and a free raf­fle. Christ­mas lights The switch on cer­e­mony will take place at Nether­ton Methodist Church on Novem­ber 25. There will be var­i­ous stalls as well as a visit from Santa Claus for the chil­dren. Doors open at 3pm with the lights be­ing switched on at 4.15pm. Every­one is wel­come to come along and sup­port this special event.
