Orange Halls Events in Craigneuk Orange Halls begins with bingo on Monday nights, eyes down at 7.30pm. Craigneuk True Defenders Flute Band practise on Tuesdays, at 7.30pm. Wednesday sees Craigneuk Golden Star RBP 121 meeting, at 7pm. Craigneuk Imperial Ladies Flute Band practise on Thursdays, at 7.30pm. New members, experienced and learners welcome, and coaching is also available. Light Up Craigneuk Christmas event will be held on Friday, November 24 at 6pm, in the Jim Foley community centre. The group will be lighting up the Christmas tree at 6.15pm followed by the opening of the Christmas fayre when they will welcome a special visitor from the North Pole. All are welcome to celebrate this community event and start off the Christmas season. Parochial Hall Activities begin in the hall this week with jive class on Mondays at 7.30pm to 9.30pm, Tuesdays Irish dancing 6.30pm to 8pm and Jiggercize 8.15pm to 8.45pm, bingo on Wednesdays 7.30pm to 9pm, Thursday Club 1pm to 2.30pm and bowling 7pm to 9.30pm. SGF: Mondays - abs attack 6pm, Tuesdays - super circuits 7pm, Wednesdays - kettle bells 6pm and combat class 7.30pm, Thursdays - pump class 7pm and Fridays - super circuits 6pm.
Bonkle Parish Church service with Sunday school and creche will be held in the church on Sunday at noon. Speak to the minister if you know of anyone who requires a pastoral visit. Sunday school’s Christmas party will be held on December 3. Shoebox appeal The recent appeal from both churches raised £480 and thanks are given to all who supported the lunches held in aid of this year’s appeal. Computer classes are held in the church hall on Mondays at 10am and 1pm with badminton sessions in the big church hall at 7.30pm. Coltness Guild meets in Coltness Memorial church on Mondays at 1.45pm and choir practice is held in the church at 8pm. Arts class will resume its regular sessions in March. Charity shop at Manse Road, Newmains is open Monday to Thursday from 9.30am to 3.30pm. Food bank thanks all for their continued support and is open in the village on Wednesdays at 1pm. Men’s and ladies club meets in the church hall on Wednesdays at 7pm and the Thursday club meets at 2pm. Coltness men’s club meets on Thursdays at 7.30pm in Coltness Memorial Church. Rainbows, Brownies and Guides meet in the church hall on Fridays at the usual times. Ladies fellowship will meet in the church hall on November 21, with guest from Perfect Petals. Coltness Memorial church winter fashion shop will be held on November 27 at 7pm to 9pm; tickets £3 includes refreshments, from Margaret Murdoch.
