Man jailed after
A rowdy man who defied a court order to stay away from a woman in Motherwell was jailed for four months at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
William McKechnie, of Lloyd Street, Motherwell, admitted breaching bail conditions imposed in June banning him from approaching a woman or entering Fife Drive.
The court heard that on November 19 he was found in a house in that street where the woman was present.
The 52-year-old also admitted shouting abuse in Fife Drive, while in a police vehicle after being detained and at Coatbridge police station.
Sheriff David Bicket was told McKechnie has a long list of previous convictions.
The prison sentence was cut from six months because of his early guilty plea.
