Taek­wondo kids awarded black belts

Coaches proud of their young achiev­ers

Three young Taek­wondo stars have cel­e­brated earn­ing their black belts.

Lee Hor­swell and Jade Rank­ing, both aged 12, and 14- year- old Rachel Cringles sat their grad­ing in Har­ro­gate in York­shire re­cently.

They all made the cut and are now of­fi­cially black belts in WTF Taek­wondo.

All three are stu­dents at Vi­sion Taek­wondo, who train at Wishaw Sports Cen­tre.

Coach Ross Eden, who set the club up with brother Craig, said: “We are ex­tremely proud of their achieve­ment.

“To achieve a black belt in WTF Taek­wondo takes a lot of hard work and all three of them have worked re­ally hard to get there and in do­ing so be­came our first stu­dents we’ve taught from white belt all the way to black.

“They graded un­der Mas­ter Ali of Har­ro­gate Taek­wondo, who was very im­pressed by all three on the day.”

Be­gin­ners’ classes for any­one look­ing to start Taek­wondo are on Thurs­day from 6pm to 7pm and on Satur­day 11am un­til noon.
