“We were both re­ally un­com­fort­able and des­per­ate for the bus to come.

“They were jump­ing about so much that one of them ac­tu­ally nudged me out of the way. I didn’t want to say any­thing to them as I think it would have an­tag­o­nised them more.

“They looked like they were out to cause trou­ble.”

When the bus fi­nally ar­rived Lynda and Ben rushed on to it to get away from the bois­ter­ous group be­fore the brick was thrown.

All pas­sen­gers were es­corted from the bus and had to wait 30 min­utes for an­other one to ar­rive.

Lynda added: “It was a hor­ri­ble night. We were just des­per­ate to get home safely.”

Sergeant Alex Pllu said: “Po­lice Scot­land re­ceived a call about this in­ci­dent at around 7.30pm on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 5. En­quiries are cur­rently on­go­ing.”
