Teenager street ban after incident
A teenager has been banned from a Newmains street after a knife charge against him.
The 17-year-old, who can’t be named for legal reasons, repeatedly shouted and swore at a man and a woman at the property in Ard Lane on October 1.
The youngster was also convicted of acting in an aggressive manner and making violent threats while in possession of a knife.
At Hamilton Sheriff Court last week, sentence was deferred on the 17-year-old until November 14.
Sheriff Thomas Miller granted bail in the case with a condition the teenager does not enter Ard Lane until his next appearance in the dock.
