Dy­namic time in Bud­paest

Dy­namic Gym­nas­tics Academy are on cloud nine after pick­ing up two medals from an in­ter­na­tional com­pe­ti­tion.

Held be­tween Septem­ber 27 and Oc­to­ber 1, three teams from the club were part of the Scot­land squad com­pet­ing at the sec­ond Bu­dapest In­ter­na­tional Ac­ro­batic Cup.

Wishaw young­sters Emma Mcconville, 15, and Caris Smith, 12, won sil­ver in the 12-18 pair cat­e­gory in their last com­pe­ti­tion as a team.

Mother­well trio Ari­anna Lawlor, 10, Karla Hill­coat, 14, and Sacha Horne, 14, bagged an­other sil­ver in the 11-16 Women Group com­pe­ti­tion.

In the 12-18Women Group, Mother­well girls Amy Miller, 15, Olivia Forsyth, 16, and Mia Evans, 11, fin­ished a very re­spectable eighth po­si­tion.

Coach Michelle Bone and sev­eral par­ents flew out to sup­port the girls in only their sec­ond in­ter­na­tional com­pe­ti­tion.

De­lighted Michelle said:“it was amaz­ing to watch the girls per­form, giv­ing it 100 per cent and see­ing the re­sults they achieved was worth all the hard work ev­ery­one has put in.

“I am so proud of all the girls, es­pe­cially as this was the first com­pe­ti­tion that they all show cased their new rou­tines which they first learned in the sum­mer.

“Well done girls.what a fab­u­lous ex­pe­ri­ence for them all.”
