‘I’ve got a soft spot for Kim Cattrall’
The TV hunk talks family, friends and female attention…
What do you look forward to most on Good Morning Britain? One of the things that’s really excited me about GMB isn’t necessarily the politicians, pop stars or business leaders. But actually it’s interviewing people that are passionate about something they have a cause for.
Who’s the best celebrity you’ve met? I’m friends with Robbie Williams because we play Soccer Aid together. He always picks me for his team. So I’ve got to say him, otherwise I might not get picked again! Will Smith is the best person to interview – he’s always up for it. And I’ve got a soft spot for Kim Cattrall.
You’re quite fit… Yeah, I play a lot of sport. It’s one of the ways I can cope with the early morning starts. You don’t need as much sleep if you keep yourself fit.
Do you get much female attention? Not that I would notice. I went to a boys’ school and never had that many girlfriends. Then I went to university and met my wife. We’ve been together for a long time. I get some lovely letters and emails, and friends coming up and saying, ‘My mum really likes you.’ It’s always very flattering.
