Our sec­ond chance at friend­ship

Plait­ing each other’s hair, play­ing hop­scotch in the play­ground and stay­ing up late at sleep­overs – some of our fond­est mem­o­ries are made with the friends we've known long­est.

Although it's not al­ways pos­si­ble to keep th­ese child­hood friend­ships go­ing – par­tic­u­larly when peo­ple move away and start fam­i­lies – that doesn't mean they're over for good.

To­day (partly thanks to so­cial me­dia) it's never been eas­ier to re­new long lost re­la­tion­ships and more and more of us are do­ing just that. Here, Wo­man looks at the rise of the Boomerang Best Friends…
