He jived his way into our hearts when he won Strictly Come Dancing last year and since then, ore oduba’s feet have not touched the ground. He’s currently standing in for Claudia winkleman on her Radio 2 Sunday evening show in the run-up to Christmas. The sports presenter, 31, is married to TV researcher Portia. They are expecting their first baby in the new year.
I am beyond excited about becoming a dad and it’s not far away! Portia and I have been talking about starting a family for ages and now it’s about to happen, we can’t wait. We both love The Bump and seeing it move. It already seems to have a personality and is much more mellow when I am nearby, which I hope is a sign of things to come! But we don’t know what the sex is, it will be a surprise – 2018 will be a very special year.
my wife and I went to new York on our first Valentine’s Day. I am a big romantic and I started as I meant to go on. Life is so busy but it’s important to spend quality time together. I love her so much. I feel so protective of her and now with The Bump as well, I just want to wrap them both up in cotton wool!
I’ve been taking lessons to work on my singing and dancing. You have to put the hours in to get better. My partner, Joanne Clifton, took me to my first dance class. I loved every minute of doing my Gene Kelly tribute live on BBC1’S last month.
watching Strictly from the sofa is not the same. It opened up a passion for performing that I had probably shelved for years. Dancing is in me now. It’s what gets me up in the morning. I loved seeing the new contestants in this series and it’s like Shirley Ballas has been there forever.
