Travel Boost wellbeing in Mauritius

Woman (UK) - - This Issue -

I stayed at the Heritage Le Telfair, located in the Bel ombre area of mauritius on the south coast, as part of the wellness Bliss package. It’s an à la carte approach that sets you up with a timetable of massages, chakra-balancing sessions, and yoga and beauty treatments. needless to say, it wasn’t hard for me to welcome the idea!

as soon as I walked through reception and onto the veranda, I knew I’d found heaven. a white fence-flanked promenade led down past an ornamental pond filled with tropical fish, towards a glorious expanse of pool and terrace, and finally on to the white sandy beach. The view was breathtaking. I had arrived.

as per the wellness package, I was first ushered to meet the resident osteopath at the Seven Colours spa. He asked me about my health, my wellness goals, and assessed my posture and alignment. He then adjusted my programme to fit my needs, before sending me on to my post-flight massage.

Each day of my week-long stay involved some sort of wellness activity, such as sunset yoga on the beach or having my chakras read and re-aligned. most memorable was the Coco Spa Ritual – I lay peacefully for an hour and a half as the therapist exfoliated my face and body with desiccated coconut, then upped my hydration levels to the max with a coconut hair and body mask.
