A Strictly first

I really enjoyed Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton’s Doctor Who-inspired tango. Kevin’s choreography was outstanding and Stacey took on both the female and male role and showed us dominance – she had that real girl power.

It’s A 10!

I gave out not one, but two 10s during our Halloween show. I just thought both ashley Roberts and Faye Tozer’s (above) routines were so polished, so together and so flawless, with no mistakes.

My BLACKPOOL Memories

I did my very first competition at the Blackpool Tower ballroom when I was about 11 years old. I remember going into that ballroom – the ambiance and the atmosphere. Every time I go back and walk up those stairs, I have to say, I have a little tear in my eye.

Off to the seaside

Blackpool week is fast approaching. But the only difference between the two dance floors is that the Tower ballroom is much bigger than the Strictly ballroom. The Tower is a magnificent floor to dance on, and all the contestants will learn that they can stride out a little bit more.

stay hydrated!

My advice to contestants to keep their energy levels up is eat a small amount of food every few hours and drink a lot of water. Staying hydrated is imperative in any form of exercise. If you fuel your body properly, your body will work for you. Please tweet me your questions @Shirleyballas
