The problem with films that involve domination is they are generally highly unrealistic and often involve a woman being submissive. Moreover, there’s a general trend that suggests she secretly craves to be abused on some level, which is acutely and globally untrue in typical relationships.

The pornification of modern life has created additional pressures for women to conform to, and films that make it into the mainstream, like these, can make some women feel a pressure to act sexually in ways they don’t enjoy.

Sex is adult play and should enhance you and your partner’s life. Using fantasy and role play can help to sustain a relationship. Yet, while many will simply see these films as an unrealistic dramatisation of sexual fantasy and leave any comparison to their own sex lives alone, for others it may lead to expectations that have a negative impact on their sexual and intimate relationships.
