Pe­riod pain that is too se­vere to be treated with nor­mal painkillers and so heavy that stan­dard pro­tec­tion isn’t enough, could be a sign of con­di­tions such as fi­broids, pelvic in­flam­ma­tory dis­ease or en­dometrio­sis.

What to do Pre-menopause, cy­cles can be er­ratic, but if you’re younger, they should be fairly eas­ily fixed. See your GP for fur­ther tests.
