Q I am travelling to Kenya in the new year and am told I have to be vaccinated against yellow fever. I’m pretty sure I was vaccinated about 15 years ago. Will this still cover me or will I need a booster?
A single vaccination against yellow fever should give you lifelong immunity. We used to recommend a booster every 10 years, but this is no longer the case. You should take your original certificate with you to avoid being refused entry. If you can’t find it, the clinic can issue you a duplicate.
