Prop­a­gate favourite

20cm or so in length from the ends of the stems of the plants and push them into a V-slit trench in moist soil. Grow them in situ or plant them in a large pot and put them in an un­heated green­house, trans­plant­ing them in late spring.

✿ Don’t be too ea­ger to tidy the veg plot.

Leav­ing the roots of beans in the ground af­ter har­vest­ing will nat­u­rally help re­fuel the soil with the es­sen­tial leaf-mak­ing nu­tri­ent, ni­tro­gen.
