5 The front of the shins can be slow to heal – trousers can pro­tect against in­juries from car doors, open draw­ers, etc. 6 Wear sun­screen on ex­posed skin to re­duce skin-cancer risks. 7 Reg­u­larly check ‘ne­glected ar­eas,’ such as un­der the feet, for signs of skin dam­age.
