Susan Ritchie, 1947 The little girl is me, age five, with my mother and father at his Distinguished Service Order Investiture at Buckingham Palace. Mum’s suit, hat and shoes were black and her blouse, pale pink silk. Her bag was made by my father during his convalescence, after the injuries he received in
