Get crafting and boost your health
Katy Bevan, trustee of The Heritage Crafts Association (heritagecrafts.org.uk), says: Keeping traditional skills alive isn't just crucial for our cultural heritage but also for our mental health. We lack control in many areas of our lives, but we can make decisions and take risks when crafting. And in a world full of technology, it’s grounding to know where something comes from and how it’s made. We are becoming more conscious of the environmental cost of our possessions these days, and the interest in traditional skills may increase as a result.
