IQUITSUGAR SLOWCOOKER COOKBOOK

- by Sarah Wilson

£9.99, Bluebird Thei Quitsugarslow Cookercookbook contains more than 80 simple and nutritious meals that are perfect for the time-poor. It’s split into categories (including hearty breakfasts, comfort classics, and cakes and puds) with a simple guide that identifies paleo- and gluten free-friendly recipes, each easily modified to cater for dietary needs.

Although the recipes rely on a well-stocked spice cupboard, the additional ingredients are easily available. This book is ideal for meat lovers, but lacks vegetarian and fish alternatives. I would recommend this book for families cooking big quantities or singles who are looking to meal prep. Sarah’s principle is to quit sugar by cooking from scratch and avoiding processed foods. Slowcooking is easily adaptable to busy lifestyles and a low-cost alternative to traditional cooking. STAR RATING: ✰✰✰ ✰✰ Hannah Thompson, London
