Put-high-tech equip­ment on hold this sum­mer as you take your work­out out­side and go back to body weight ba­sics

Sum­mers were made for the out­doors and this head-to-toe body­weight work­out de­vised by Opus (opus­fit­ness.co.uk) founder David Kings­bury is per­fect park work­out ma­te­rial. ‘Your body­weight pro­vides the re­sis­tance for each move­ment, and the in­ten­sity de­pends upon how hard you want to push your­self,’ David says. It’s pretty straight­for­ward, but you can ex­pect to gain strength, im­prove car­dio­vas­cu­lar con­di­tion­ing and boost fat burn if you re­ally put your all into it. ‘By tran­si­tion­ing through each ex­er­cise quickly, with lit­tle or no rest, the em­pha­sis will be on fat burn­ing and car­dio­vas­cu­lar con­di­tion­ing,’ he adds.
