I hear so many peo­ple talk about pull-ups, whether they want to achieve their first or progress to be able to clinch a few more than this time last month. While lift­ing your own body weight is an im­pres­sive feat, an even bet­ter rea­son to work at it is the fact that it’s a cru­cial move­ment in the pulling mo­tions of a strength­train­ing pro­gramme. But it won’t come easy. To nail the move, you need a plan that helps you de­velop mus­cu­lar strength, tech­ni­cal con­trol and the con­fi­dence to give it a go.
