Salmon can give bears the slip

Griz­zly bears be­gin to learn to fish at a young age, watch­ing their moth­ers and then prac­tis­ing the skill them­selves. When salmon head up­stream to their mat­ing grounds from the sea the bears lie in wait and try to catch them as they leap through the wa­ter. Un­for­tu­nately for the pow­er­ful mam­mals the fish are fast and slip­pery, so things don’t al­ways go to plan, as this im­age proves.
