Com­mer­son’s dol­phin is an ocean ac­ro­bat

Thanks to their bold mark­ings, Com­mer­son’s dol­phins are also known as panda, piebald or skunk dol­phins. They’re one of the small­est cetaceans at up to 1.7 me­tres (5.6 feet) long, and they can be seen leap­ing, twist­ing and surfing near the Ker­gue­len Is­lands in the In­dian Ocean and around the south­ern tip of South Amer­ica.
