Chee­tahs barely drink

One dose of wa­ter ev­ery three to four days is all it takes to keep a chee­tah alive. As wa­ter is so scarce in the an­i­mal’s na­tive range it has adapted to life with lit­tle hy­dra­tion. This species quenches its rare thirst at wa­ter holes, rivers and creeks along­side other sa­van­nah wildlife. Even with un­lim­ited ac­cess to wa­ter the chee­tah has no need to drink on a daily ba­sis.
