Wolves hunt humans

In the last century wolves have killed two people in North America. In contrast, 30 people are killed by domestic dogs every year in the US.

They devastate livestock

While wolves do occasionally attack farmers' animals, in the US they kill around one cow out of every 45,000 and one sheep for around every 7,000.

They will wipe out prey species

There are concerns wolves will predate species into extinction. This is despite wolves having never done so in the 60

million years since they first evolved.

Culling them aids conservation

In fact, studies show that when authorities legalise culling, poachers are encouraged to disregard other legislation and will increase their activity.
