All change for coaches in La Liga
ERNESTO VALVERDE left Athletic Bilbao and took over from Luis Enrique as coach of Barcelona. Now 53, he played under Johan Cruyff at Barca before a lengthy spell at Bilbao, where he began his coaching career.
He had spells with Espanyol, Olympiakos, Villarreal and Valencia, before as a second period at Bilbao, during which he beat Barca to win the 2015 Spanish Super Cup.
ANGEL ZIGANDA replaced Ernesto Valverde at Bilbao, while EDUARDO BERIZZO was appointed by Sevilla to replace Argentina-bound Jorge Sampaoli. MARCELINO became the sixth coach of Valencia in the past two years.
