The games we want the most
We’ve finally gotten a closer look at Bioware’s next sci-fi offering, Anthem, over on p26. You might not be able to romance any sexy aliens for this adventure, but it looks like there’s a lot here so you won’t miss it. Besides, who needs love when you can fly around in a mech suit? No hugs required. Elsewhere we’re trying to pour our brain fluids back in through our ears after having a mind-bending look at Control (p32), the latest from the people behind Quantum Break at Remedy. It looks much darker than their previous games, with office workers ominously suspended in the air in an abandoned building and a world that shifts around you. We’ve also been thinking long and hard about how we’d manage a town facing a zombie horde in Dying
Light 2 on p34. While some of us are keen to get on everyone’s good side by being pro-justice, Warren has surprised us all by being all about the choices that line his pockets. Though that mentality does explain why he’s built a wall out of old magazines that only he can navigate safely to his desk. Finally we’ve been hands-on with Darksiders III (p36) which has been quiet of late but is finally almost ready to ride out of hell for another whip-cracking adventure. Fury has a lot to be angry about, which gives us a lot to be happy about. Uh, sorry about that, Fury.
