Rigid is best

Yachting World - - Letters -

Regarding your online feature about tenders, this discussion centres on inflatable dinghies. In my opinion, nothing beats a rigid, rowable dinghy with an outboard.

We sailed for 25 years in and around the Caribbean islands and started with an inflatable with floorboard inserts – it only lasted about five years. A Noreaster glassfibre dinghy was the answer for us, providing service for over 20 years.
