The an­nual re­gatta, held in the chic and his­toric Riviera port, this year in­cor­po­rated the 130th an­niver­sary of Fife yachts, the clas­sics de­signed and built by three gen­er­a­tions of the Scot­tish fam­ily at Fair­lie on the Clyde. More than 20 Fifes from what is con­sid­ered the golden age of yacht­ing as­sem­bled on the dock­side at Saint­tropez and took their own start. Fa­bien Deprés’s 49ft gaff cut­ter Vi­ola, launched in 1908, took first in class and won the over­all Rolex Tro­phy.
