The annual regatta, held in the chic and historic Riviera port, this year incorporated the 130th anniversary of Fife yachts, the classics designed and built by three generations of the Scottish family at Fairlie on the Clyde. More than 20 Fifes from what is considered the golden age of yachting assembled on the dockside at Sainttropez and took their own start. Fabien Deprés’s 49ft gaff cutter Viola, launched in 1908, took first in class and won the overall Rolex Trophy.
