Two new occupiers help to fill city office
A CITY centre office scheme is fully occupied following the relocation of an architecture practice and a specialist dental legal firm.
The Manser Practice has taken 1,430 sq ft of space at 106 Micklegate in York on a 10-year lease.
The company, which employs 40 staff in York and London, provides architecture services on projects ranging from hotels and hospitals to ferry terminals and residential schemes.
Meanwhile, PFM Dental Legal, which launched last year and offers legal services to dentists with a particular focus on the sale and purchase of dental practices, now has eight staff based within the building after letting 945 sq ft on a five-year lease. The company is part of PFM Dental, which is based on Skeldergate.
These latest deals follow Gulp & Graze opening on the ground floor of 106 Micklegate last summer.
Richard Baker, from Rushbond, which owns the building, said: “York is home to a thriving business community and a strong economy, so there is currently plenty of demand for high quality office space in the city centre. Micklegate has always been one of York’s finest gateway streets and has enjoyed a major renaissance in recent years, which 106 Micklegate is at the heart of.”
Guy Barlow, director at The Manser Practice, said: “There’s no doubt York offers a fantastic work-life balance and expanding into Micklegate means we have the room to continue building our team over the coming months and years.”
Stephen Knowles, director at PFM Dental Legal, added: “Relocating to Micklegate is a natural progression as PFM Dental Legal continues growing, but its proximity to Skeldergate means we can continue to work closely with our colleagues at PFM Dental.
“The building also offers a modern office environment, in a central location, close to great road and rail links, which made it an ideal location for us.”
