Trading potential ‘enormous’
CHRISTOPHER BAILEY, the Halifax-born chief creative officer of Burberry, has said the potential for UK trading post-Brexit is “enormous”.
He warned that tougher immigration rules must not prevent the ability to work with people from around the world and acknowledged that there was uncertainty about the outcome of Brexit, which had contributed to delays in Burberry’s plans for Yorkshire.
But he welcomed the possibilities for the British economy from global trade after the UK leaves the European Union.
He also voiced concerns about the impact of the antiimmigration climate and called for an “open world” and a world “without borders”.
