What was your first job?

As a farm worker.

Some other busi­ness ad­ven­ture.

What was your worst mis­take?

I guess prob­a­bly try­ing to do too much and not re­al­is­ing the im­por­tance of fo­cus­ing on some­thing un­til it’s put to bed.

What’s your ideal day away from the of­fice?

A busy day with my two chil­dren and my wife.

Name one per­son you would like to have din­ner with and why?

Steve Jobs. I con­sider him to have had the great­est busi­ness mind of all time.

What was your best sub­ject at school?

Maths.

What are your hob­bies?

Apart from work and fam­ily, I sup­pose snooker.

What would you do if you won the Lottery?

Put the money into Trade Chimp, and a lot of char­i­ta­ble work.

What’s your favourite item of cloth­ing?

Jeans – with­out a doubt.

What’s your favourite time of day

I’m a morn­ing per­son, which is the op­po­site to my wife.

What’s the best thing about York­shire?

York­shire pud­dings of course, and the coun­try­side.

What would you like your epi­taph to be?

A lov­ing dad to Brooke and El­liott, and a lucky hus­band to Zoe. One of the good guys.
