LAW FIRM McCormicks Solicitors has added to its commercial litigation team with the appointment of Will Bates.

He will work with partner Philip Edmondson in providing commercial litigation and sports disputes services to clients.

Mr Bates graduated from Durham University with an honours degree in Law in 2014 before obtaining a distinction – and the top overall mark in his intake – in the Legal Practice Course at Hertfordshire University.

He trained at a regional firm in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire and, as well as commercial litigation, has experience in corporate and commercial, commercial property and employment matters.

Mr Edmondson said: “Will’s forensic and pragmatic approach and ability to anticipate potential issues, while considering whether alternative dispute resolution is possible, makes him an excellent fit with the McCormicks’ team.”

McCormicks acts for a broad range of clients, including the Premier League, Leeds United FC, Rudding Park, Harrogate Town FC and the Solicitors Indemnity Fund Ltd.
