Centamin suffers knock in trading
Miner Centamin was knocked in trading on Monday after it said low-grade gold at its mine in Egypt had reduced production by 25 per cent. In afternoon trading shares were down five per cent to 111.4p. The news comes after Centamin cut its production guidance in May. The company’s chief executive Andrew Pardey said mining efforts had started to reach higherquality gold, and that the firm was focusing on bringing operations back in line with market forecasts.
