SATCase to be tested in Antarctic
Extreme temperatures and a hostile Antarctic environment is set to be the testing ground for a new satellite communications product produced by Barnsley-based SATcase.
SATcase has announced a partnership with former Royal Marine Commando, Regimental Sergeant Major Barry Gray, left, who is embarking on The Challenge Antarctica project.
He will journey from Hercules Inlet to the South Pole solo.
Phase two will see him attempt to cross the entire Antarctic continent from coast to coast including the two permanent ice shelves.
SATcase’s device will allow Mr Gray to make calls and features an SOS track and trace facility.
