Packetts, the Bradford-based insurance brokers, aims to raise £10,000 for the St John Ambulance, as the firm prepares for its centenary in 2020. If the staff succeed in raising this total, it would cover the cost of training 100 advanced St John first aiders.

To reach this target, staff at Packetts will be taking part in a host of activities.

Over the next two years the company will stage a

“century challenge” during which all Packetts’ staff are being challenged to cover 100 miles.

This can be done incrementally by running, cycling, swimming, walking or a mixture of all four.

Michelle Kerrigan, national partnerships manager at St John Ambulance, added: “St John Ambulance are delighted to be working in partnership with Packetts insurance brokers. We are really looking forward to supporting all of their fundraising efforts.”
